We’ll cover topics that are top-of-mind for you as you consider upgrading your management system – from the implementation process to data migration and everything in between – plus, connect you with agencies who have walked in your shoes and successfully stepped into their future tech. We’re excited to hold Ivans’ annual conference in conjunction with Applied Net! Ivans Connect provides a forum for insurers, MGAs, agencies, and solution providers to learn about the latest innovations and opportunities in digital distribution and servicing. This year’s program is set to feature more than 10 interactive sessions across a variety of topics, from commercial lines distribution to what agencies look for from their partners to the latest Ivans innovations and more. It’s sure to be a day full of learning, networking and fun!

The event kicks off with a networking reception on Sunday, September 8, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., followed by the main program on Monday, September 9, from 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Pre-registration is required. Check back soon for the full program agenda.

Monday, September 9, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Earn up to 7 hours of CE credits (for anyone holding the CISR or CSRM designation) to ensure you meet your state's licensing requirements while learning about niche topics. Pre-registration is required, including a $64 fee for each session.

CE Sessions Include:

• 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., Errors and Omissions Claims Prevention (2 CE hours). In this session, you’ll examine the various parties that may be involved in the claims process and their legal and ethical responsibilities. You’ll learn about potential exposures, how to minimize exposure, and what to do if a claim is made against you.

• 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.,Flood Insurance for Personal Lines (2 CE hours). This session will share why you should recommend flood insurance to your personal lines’ clients. You’ll examine coverage provided by the NFIP and the Dwelling Form Standard Flood Insurance Policy, including policy provisions and conditions unique to the flood policy. You’ll also compare coverage provided by the Flood and Homeowners policies.

• 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., Small Commercial Account Coverages 3 CE hours). In this session, you’ll review the commercial coverages that small business owners should consider, including property, liability, automobile, workers' compensation, employment-related practices liability, equipment breakdown, and excess liability/commercial umbrella. You’ll compare and contrast a Business Owners Policy (BOP) against Commercial Property and learn the differences between BOP and Commercial General Liability forms. You’ll explore workers' compensation exposures and the limited coverage for employment-related claims under the CGL, BOP, and other liability forms. Lastly, discuss coverage options for equipment breakdown exposures and review excess liability and commercial umbrella policies.
